According to a survey conducted by MediaNet by telephone on a representative sample of the adult population of Croatia, 76 percent of the Croatian population uses a foreign language, 30 percent use two languages, and 5.8 percent use three. As many as 59 percent of those polled said they used English, with 13 percent at the beginner level, 30 percent at an intermediate level, and 16 percent at the advanced level.<\/p>\n
German is the next most commonly spoken language by Croatian citizens.<\/p>\n
Thirty percent said they spoke German, of whom 13 percent were beginners, 12.7 percent were intermediate, and 4.5 percent were advanced speakers.<\/p>\n
Based on\u00a0 their own statements, 13 percent of the respondents use Italian, making it the third most popular language in our country, of which 3.5 percent are beginners, 6.4 percent are intermediate, and 2.9 percent are advanced.<\/p>\n
